By using duplex stainless steel, it is possible to further reduce sheet thickness, compared to austenitic stainless steel, such as Type304.

1) In the case of S32101, for example, the sheet thickness based on the strength calculation can be reduced to 46% in the case of a pressure vessel, 67% in the case of a storage tank, and 82% in the case of a chimney.
2) The actual sheet thickness used must conform to the rules of the applicable standard.
3) It is necessary to determine the most suitable design sheet thickness and weight based on the above factors.
